Doc Hennessy ran a mighty race at Canterbury on 14 April and in the process broke a 19-year-old course record.  Jockey Grant Buckley took the four-year-old straight to the front and blatantly held off The Member and Danzibaa for the duration of the 2800 metre race.  He also broke the race record.

The impressive gelding is by former Murray Stable’s star, Half Hennessy, which won the Queensland Derby by six lengths.  We are hoping Doc Hennessy will continue his fine form and win better Class staying races in the future.
