Bede had his eye on the Port Macquarie Cup (2000m) for his Universal Prince gelding, World Wide, and it proved to be a very wise choice.  Ridden by experienced jockey, Robert Thompson, he edged out the Chris Waller trained, Campanology, by a short half head over the line.  The result gave Robert Thompson his fourth Port Macquarie Cup and gave World Wide his 11th win and earnings past $700,000.
